The GtwLUG was pleased to exhibit for the first time at Comic Con at Central Library in July 2017.  Due to space constraints, this was one of our smaller displays, but we still managed to fit in a 45″ wide model of Central Library, seven modular style buildings, and as many comic-themed elements as we could fit onto two tables.

Missouri History Museum: TOYS of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s

October 29 — 30, 2017

To help celebrate the opening of the TOYS of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s exhibit at the Missouri History Museum, the GtwLUG was pleased to do a two-day LEGO® display at the museum.  In keeping with the theme of the main exhibition, a number of vintage sets were on display including a trio of castles from different eras, a town consisting of sets from the 1980s and 1990s, and other vintage sets. Also, playing off the History Museum’s location in Forest Park, a new custom LEGO® model of Forest Park created by club members was debuted at this show.  Other highlights of the show included club members doing some site-specific builds incorporating History Museum architecture and a LEGO® play area for visitors.
