On August 27, 2020 the club received 3 large cartons of various LEGO sets valued at approximately $1800.00 to give to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Julie Gant of the hospital’s Child Life Services accepted the donation the next day at the entrance to the hospital, where the sets will be given to children receiving treatment.
National Model Railroad Association National Convention – Gateway 2022

The National Model Railroad Association holds one national convention per year, and in 2022 it will be held in St. Louis. The GtwLUG will be joined by other regional LEGO user groups as well as local and national model railroaders, and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to put on a great and unique display. We were originally scheduled to display at this show in 2020 before that convention was cancelled, so we are grateful to have another opportunity.

2019 Comics Central at Central Library
The GtwLUG has exhibited at the two most recent Comic Con events at Central Library, and we were glad to be invited back in 2019. In past years, in addition to our display visitors have also had an opportunity get a photo taken with superhero-themed cosplayers, meet local comic writers and artists, and sample the fare of a number of food trucks. Brickworld Chicago 2019
The GtwLUG will be one of many LUGs and individuals from around the world displaying at Brickworld Chicago this summer! While our display will be smaller than many of our in-town events, there will be plenty to see and do for the whole family at one of the largest annual LEGO events in the world, including over 100,000 square feet of LEGO displays, play areas, activities, and vendors.
