The week of September 20, 2021, two club members distributed donated cartons to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Mercy Hospital St. Louis, and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
FairyBricks Donation – Shriners Hospital for Children
On July 16, 2021 two club members, accompanied by one member’s children, distributed donated cartons to Shriners Hospitals for Children – St. Louis.
FairyBricks Donation – St. Louis Children’s Hospital & Mercy Hospital
On July 7, 2021 the club distributed donated cartons to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
FairyBricks Donation – Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital
On July 2, 2021 the club distributed donated a carton to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for the first time. Ryan Jennings of the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation and Connor, a SLU High School volunteer, received the delivery and look forward to partnering with us further in the future.
Brick Days – Omaha 2021
GtwLUG is proud to be a guest LUG at Brick Days – Omaha for the first time. Having not been able to display locally in over a year and with Brickworld Chicago cancelled for the second straight year, we’re excited to be able to take part in what will probably be the largest LEGO convention in the midwest in 2021. On March 23, 2021 the club distributed donated cartons to Shriners Hospitals for Children – St. Louis, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
FairyBricks Donation – Shriners Hospital for Children & Mercy Hospital
On September 22, 2020 the club distributed 6 additional cartons to Shriners Hospitals for Children – St. Louis and Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Laura Teague, Senior Recreational Therapist from Shriners Child Life Department received the donation at Shriners, and Alberta Zanardi, Manager of The Child Life Department at Mercy, and Chelsea, a Child Life Specialist at both Mercy and Shriners, received the donation at Mercy.
FairyBricks Donation – St. Louis Children’s Hospital
On August 27, 2020 the club received 3 large cartons of various LEGO sets valued at approximately $1800.00 to give to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Julie Gant of the hospital’s Child Life Services accepted the donation the next day at the entrance to the hospital, where the sets will be given to children receiving treatment.
National Model Railroad Association National Convention – Gateway 2022
UPDATE (6/9/22): We are currently NOT confirmed for this show. If this changes, we will remove this message and add this show to our list of upcoming shows.
The National Model Railroad Association holds one national convention per year, and in 2022 it will be held in St. Louis. The GtwLUG will be joined by other regional LEGO user groups as well as local and national model railroaders, and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to put on a great and unique display. We were originally scheduled to display at this show in 2020 before that convention was cancelled, so we are grateful to have another opportunity.
