On Wednesday, October 11th, various club members distributed donated LEGO sets to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Due to financial issues related to Brexit, FairyBricks, our normal charity partner, is currently unable to ship sets outside of the UK. Rather than wait for these issues to get sorted out, the club elected to donate sets ourselves as well as using donated funds to purchase discounted sets to donate. Thanks to everyone who has donated towards these efforts.
GtwLUG is thrilled to announce that we will once again be displaying seven days per week this holiday season at The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows as part of the Way of Lights activities. We will once again be located in the Visitor’s Center. This is our premiere annual event and a great time to celebrate the holidays and see some great LEGO displays of all sizes and themes!
Hours and directions, as well as a few photos from last year’s display, are below. Note that we are not opening at the same time as the rest of the lights this year in order to give us ample time for setup.

(closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day)
Tickets are $5 for Adults and children 4 and over (children 3 and under are free). Tuesday night is family night, and tickets are only $4. Monday night veterans and active service military members can also get tickets for $4.

It’s been awhile since Gateway LUG got back to our roots: a good old model train show. We’re pleased to be displaying at the Greater St. Louis Metro Area Train Show for the first time in its new location: the Meramec Community College Gym in Kirkwood. We’ve got lots of trains, and no two layouts we do are ever the same.

The GtwLUG will be one of many LUGs and individuals from around the world displaying at Brickworld Chicago this summer! While our display will be smaller than many of our in-town events, we may be displaying a portion of our renowned LEGO City that we set up during our winter Shrine event, and there will be plenty to see and do for the whole family at one of the largest annual LEGO events in the world, including over 100,000 square feet of LEGO displays, play areas, activities, and vendors.
