The GtwLUG is pleased to return to Anime St. Louis in 2024 for our fifth consecutive appearance. Last year we moved to our own dedicated room with play brick, and it was so successful that we’re doing it again this year. If you attend the event, please stop by to see our display!

Gateway LUG is proud to be invited to a unique first-time event. One of our members and his wife are running in the London marathon in April with the goal of raising $50,000 to support clean water and sanitation efforts in the developing world, through the charity World Vision International. To help meet this goal, they are hosting a one-day LEGO event in Edwardsville, IL with all proceeds going to the charitable donation (they are covering overhead expenses themselves). On Thursday, November 30th, two club members donated LEGO polybag sets that they purchased to St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children – St. Louis. Thanks, Michael and Alan!
On Wednesday, October 11th, various club members distributed donated LEGO sets to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Due to financial issues related to Brexit, FairyBricks, our normal charity partner, is currently unable to ship sets outside of the UK. Rather than wait for these issues to get sorted out, the club elected to donate sets ourselves as well as using donated funds to purchase discounted sets to donate. Thanks to everyone who has donated towards these efforts.
GtwLUG is thrilled to announce that we will once again be displaying seven days per week this holiday season at The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows as part of the Way of Lights activities. We will once again be located in the Visitor’s Center. This is our premiere annual event and a great time to celebrate the holidays and see some great LEGO displays of all sizes and themes!
Hours and directions, as well as a few photos from last year’s display, are below. Note that we are not opening at the same time as the rest of the lights this year in order to give us ample time for setup.
November 24th – December 23rd, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
(closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day)
Tickets are $5 for Adults and children 4 and over (children 3 and under are free). Tuesday night is family night, and tickets are only $4. Monday night veterans and active service military members can also get tickets for $4.

It’s been awhile since Gateway LUG got back to our roots: a good old model train show. We’re pleased to be displaying at the Greater St. Louis Metro Area Train Show for the first time in its new location: the Meramec Community College Gym in Kirkwood. We’ve got lots of trains, and no two layouts we do are ever the same.
